Willem Dafoe has revealed that he will be back for Finding Dory.

Finding Dory is the highly anticipated sequel to animation smash Finding Nemo and will see Andrew Stanton return to the director's chair.

Dafoe will once again be lending his voice to the character of Gill, and he says that he has already starred work on the film.

Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "Yeah I've already started. It's even better than the first. It's fantastic.

"It's good to say I think it's going to be better than the first; that's good advertising!"

This time around the movie will focus on the much loved character Dory as she sets off on a journey to be reunited with her family.

Ellen DeGeneres is back to voice the character of Dory, while Albert Brooks is also back as Marlin.

And while Dafoe is enjoying being back he admits that it will be difficult to repeat the success of the first film.

He added: "It's difficult to repeat a success and so many years afterwards, but it's really cool.

"I've done one session so far and I just am going to have such a good time."

Finding Dory is released summer 2016.
