Will Smith has signed up to star in new film The City That Sailed.
Smith will team up with director Shawn Levy for the 20th Century Fox project - it is a film that Smith will also produce.
The City That Sailed tells the story of a father and daughter whose bond is tested when the island of Manhattan in New York breaks loose and sails across the Atlantic Ocean.
Smith returned to the big screen this summer in After Earth - a movie that failed to win over critics and audiences.
He has completed work on Winter's Tale and he is currently filming Focus.
Focus will see Glenn Ficarra and John Requa in the director's chair while Margot Robbie and Rodrigo Santoro are also on board.
The actor is being tipped to reprise his role as Captain Steven Hiller in a sequel to 'Independence Day', which was recently pushed back to a July 2016 release date - exactly 20 years after the original film came out.
It has yet to be announced when shooting will get underway and when the film is going to be released.
