Jason Statham is set to return with another action packed role next year, as he leads the cast list crime/thriller Wild Card.
The first poster for the film has been released Lionsgate via IGN, and will see Statham reunite with director Simon West, who he has worked with on the likes of The Expendables 2 and The Mechanic.
Wild Card is a big screen adaptation of the novel by William Goldman and sees Goldman adapt his own book into a screenplay.
Statham takes on the central role of Nick Wild, and he is joined on the cast list by Michael Angarano, Milo Ventimiglia, Stanley Tucci, Sofia Vergara, Max Casella, and Anne Heche.
Nick Wild (Statham) is a Las Vegas bodyguard with lethal professional skills and a personal gambling problem.
When a friend is beaten by a sadistic thug, Nick strikes back, only to find out the thug is the son of a powerful mob boss. Suddenly Nick is plunged into the criminal underworld, chased by enforcers and wanted by the mob.
Having raised the stakes, Nick has one last play to change his fortunes... and this time, it's all or nothing.
Wild Card is released 30th January 2015 in the U.S. but no UK release date has yet been announced.
