Zac Efron is set to return to the big screen this summer with his latest film We Are Your Friends, which sees him team up with filmmaker Max Joseph.

We Are Your Friends is a movie that will explore the world of electronic music and the Hollywood party scene, with Efron set to take on the central role of Cole Carter - an aspiring DJ.
We Are Your Friends is the first time that we have seen Efron on the big screen since Bad Neighbours last year and he takes centre stage in the brand new UK poster for the movie.
Joseph is best known for his work on TV show Catfish and is returning to the director's chair with We Are Your Friends. While he has documentaries and short projects under his belt, this will mark his live action feature film directorial debut. Joseph has also teamed up with Meaghan Oppenheimer to pen the screenplay.
Efron may take on the central role in the film, but there are some other great names on board as Jon Bernthal, Jonny Weston, Wes Bentley, Shiloh Fernandez and Emily Ratajkowski are also set to star.
We Are Your Friends is a coming of age drama about what it takes to find your voice. Set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife, an aspiring 23 year old DJ named Cole spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire.
All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James' much younger girlfriend, Sophie. With Cole's forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unravelling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he knows he's destined for.
