Duncan Jones is one of the most exciting filmmakers around and he will be back in the director's chair next summer with Warcraft: The Beginning.
Warcraft: The Beginning is already one of the most talked about movies of 2016 and we are going to be treated to the global trailer on Friday... a new poster has been released just to whet our appetite.
This will be the third feature film of Jones' career and comes after he enjoyed success with Moon and Source Code. Needless to say, Warcraft: The Beginning is set to be the biggest film of his career to date. I really cannot wait to see him tackle a blockbuster film for the first time.
As well as being in the director's chair, Jones has also teamed up with Charles Leavitt to pen the screenplay, which is based on the hit computer game.
Travis Fimmel is set to take on the central role of Anduin Lothar and is joined on the cast list by Ben Foster, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell, Dominic Cooper, Clancy Brown, and Robert Kazinsky.
The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction.
From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
Warcraft: The Beginning is set to be one of the biggest movies of summer 2016 and I cannot wait to see what Jones delivers this time around. He already was an exciting and talented filmmaker, but Warcraft: The Beginning could send his star rocketing.
Warcraft: The Beginning is released 3rd June 2016.
