Warcraft: The Beginning is one of the summer movies that we are looking forward to the most here at FemaleFirst and there are only a few more weeks to go until the film finally hits the big screen.

The movie is promising to be a sprawling and action-packed epic and a series of eight fantastic new character posters have been unveiled.

The brand new poster feature Lothar (the war hero), Blackhand (the destroyer), Durotan (noble Orc chief), Garona (the unbroken survivor), Gul'dan (the invader), King Llane (the warrior King), Lady Taria (the Queen of Hope) and Orgrim (the fighter). Take a look:

Travis Fimmel, Clancy Brown, Toby Kebbell, Paula Patton, Daniel Wu, Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, and Robert Kazinsky will take on the roles of Lothar, Blackhand, Durotan, Garona, Gul'dan, King Llane, Lady Taria, and Orgrim.

They are joined on the cast list by Ben Foster, Ben Schnetzer, Callum Keith Rennie, and Daniel Cudmore.

Warcraft: The Beginning will see Duncan Jones back in the director's chair for the third and biggest feature film of his career. He has already brought us the fantastic Moon and Source Code and I cannot wait to see what he delivers with his first blockbuster project.

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction.

From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people, and their home. So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.

Warcraft: The Beginning is released 30th May.
