Emilia Clarke has been a busy lady with a series of movie projects as well as the new series of Game of Thrones under her belt. Voice From The Stone is just one of the films we are going to be seeing her in, and the first image from the film has been unveiled.
Voice From The Stone is a big screen adaptation of the novel by Silvio Raffo, and sees Eric D. Howell back in the director's chair for the first time since he made his feature film debut with From Heaven to Hell back in 2002.
The movie marks the first time that Clarke has teamed up with the filmmaker, as she takes on the central role of Verena in the film. She is joined on the cast list by Marton Csokas and Caterina Murino.
Voice From The Stone is the haunting story of Verena (Clarke), a solemn nurse drawn to aid a young boy named Jakob who has fallen silent since the untimely death of his mother nearly a year ago. Living with his father (Csokas) in a massive stone manor in Tuscany, Jakob not only refuses to speak, he seems to be under the spell of a malevolent force trapped within the stone walls.
As Verena's relationship with the father and son grow, she becomes ensnared and consumed by Malvina's severe force. If she is to save the boy, and free herself, she must face the phantom hidden inside the stone.
Voice From The Stone is currently being shopped around at the Berlin International Film Festival, and no UK release date for the movie has yet been announced.
As for Clarke, she has a very busy 2015 ahead of her, as we are also going to be seeing her take over the role of Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys. The new film in the Terminator franchise is directed by Alan Taylor and will also star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, and J.K. Simmons.
The actress will also be returning to the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the brand new series of Game of Thrones, which is set to star airing in April.
