Vin Diesel has given fans an update on xXx: Return of Xander Cage and admits that the film is a little short.
Diesel is set to reprise the role of Xander Cage for the first time since 2002 as he teams up with filmmaker D.J. Caruso for the first time.
Diesel has taken to Facebook to keep fans up to date on the film. In a new video, the actor said: "[Paramount] is so poised to do something so amazing with XXX.
"I was speechless after watching the movie. I felt like it's been a long time coming. The spirit of individuality that plays in the movie is kind of refreshing and kind of timely."
However, the actor revealed that not everything about the upcoming film was perfect.
He continued: "I don't want to say anything negative, but I have to be honest. If there was one complaint I had about xXx the first cut, it's too short. I wanted more...
"When people have been waiting 15 years for this franchise to return, you can't just give them an hour and a half. It's not fair because you just want more."
Caruso has brought us movies such as Disturbia and Eagle Eye during his career and xXx: Return of Xander Cage is his first feature since Standing Up back in 2013.
The movie also sees Samuel L. Jackson back as Agent Augustus Eugene Gibbons, while Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Donnie Yen, Toni Collette, and Tony Jaa are just some of the new faces on board.
2016 has been a busy year for the actor as he is also reprising the voice role of Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and has been filming Fast 8 - both of which will hit the big screen next year.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 will hit the big screen three years after the success of the first and looks set to be one of Marvel's biggest movie hits in 2017.
Fast 8 comes two years after the billion dollar success of Fast & Furious 7 and is set to be another huge instalment for the much-loved franchise.
xXx: Return of Xander Cage is released 20th January 2017.
