Vin Diesel has revealed that a fourth Riddick film and TV series is in the pipeline.

It was back in 2000 when Diesel first teamed up with writer and director David Twohy for Pitch Black and introduced us to the character of Riddick for the first time.
Since then, we have seen Diesel reprise the role in The Chronicles of Riddick and Riddick and now a fourth film is on the horizon for the actor and the director.
As if that is not enough, Diesel has also revealed that TV spin-off series called Merc City is also in the pipeline. The actor took to Instagram to announce the exciting news:
It still remains to be seen if Diesel would ever made an appearance in the TV series but the Riddick universe is an interesting one, packed with great characters and a range of different worlds that would be fun to explore on the small screen.
It looks like 2016 is going to be a very busy year for Diesel as he is set to star work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, which will see him reprise the role of Groot.
Diesel played Groot for the first time in 2014 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is already one of the most anticipated films of 2017. The movie will see James Gunn back in the director's chair.
Diesel has also announced that an eighth Fast & Furious film will go ahead. Fast & Furious 7 is the second highest grossing film of this year and became the first film in the series to gross over $1 billion at the global box office.
A third film in the xXx franchise is also in the pipeline, which would see Diesel reprise the role of Xander Cage for the first time since the character was introduced in xXx back in 2002.
