Vanessa Hudgens has wanted to play the role of a prostitute since she was 12.
The 24-year-old actress has landed the part of sexy Cindy Paulson in the new movie 'The Frozen Ground' and although she admits she's always wanted to be chosen for a daring sex role, she insists filming the scenes were somewhat challenging because of the level of intimacy.
Speaking at a Q&A session in London last night (17.07.13), she said: "I always wanted to play a really heavy role. I remember being like 12 I think and being like 'I want to play a prostitute and do drugs'.
Speaking of her new role, she added: "She's really just a young scared girl trying to get by. It's nerve-wracking for sure.
"For this one scene the stage I was on was lower than where male film crew were situated. They were higher than me sitting on their stools, so it made it super awkward and intimate."
The Spring Breakers' star - who is known for playing Gabriella Montez in 'High School Musical' - insists that despite the more grown-up roles she's been playing recently, she will never turn her back on Disney.
She said: "I love Disney. I still watch Disney movies to this day. I still had such an amazing experience and I got to bring musicals to kids all over the world and it's awesome, a really cool thing. It's a legacy, I'm really proud of it."
