The Uncharted game series is a brilliant collection that sees treasure hunter Nathan Drake do what he does best – cause chaos and find long-lost secrets. Next month (February, 2022), sees current Spider-Man actor Tom Holland take on the role of a young Drake.
Uncharted is set to release into cinemas early next month, and while some fans are on the fence about seeing Holland in this role, many others can’t wait to see him and Mark Wahlberg (Ted, Daddy’s Home) on this adventure together.
The movie has had multiple trailer release over the past few months, and yesterday (January 27th, 2022) saw the final trailer for the upcoming action-adventure drop.
Uncharted follows a young Drake, who is recruited at his bartending job by treasure hunter Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan (Wahlberg), who needs his help in recovering a great wealth amassed by Ferdinand Magellan, but was lost over 500 years ago by the House of Moncada.
What starts off as a simple heist for the pair, ends up being a complicated job that takes Drake and Sully across the globe in a race to reach the treasure before Santiago Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes his family to be the rightful heirs, gets there first.
Not only do our heroes have to decipher clues, chase down leads, and try not to get killed, they must also solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries which may lead them to $5 billion in treasure; they may even find Drake’s long-lost brother...
Along with the final trailer, earlier this week (Monday, January 24th, 2022) a behind-the-scenes video was released onto YouTube; the short clip is less than a minute long, and sees Holland explain how hard the stunts within Uncharted were to film.
We all know the actor to have done some great stunt work as his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it seems that Holland was pushed to his limits while shooting his upcoming movie; something that will more than likely pay off when the film releases.
Uncharted will be released into cinemas on February 11th, 2022.
