Travis Fimmel reveals that he was keen to see what the orcs looked like in the finished version of Warcraft: The Beginning.
Warcraft: The Beginning has hit the big screen this week and is based on the popular computer game of the same name.
Fimmel takes on the central role of Anduin Lothar in the film but had no idea what the orcs were going to look like during the filming process.
Speaking to Collider, the actor said: "Until you really see it, I had no clue what this movie was going to look like. It was very interesting. I mostly wanted to see the orcs, just to see how much emotion you could see in them.
"It's amazing, you see Toby Kebbell in the orc. The transformation and what they can do with the technology is amazing."
Warcraft: The Beginning sees the actor team up with filmmaker Duncan Jones for the first time as he returns to the director's chair for his first feature since Source Code.
While Fimmel is no stranger to the big screen, this is the biggest film and role of his movie career to date.
Fimmel is joined on the cast list by Toby Kebbell, Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper, Ben Foster, Rob Kazinsky, Clancy Brown, and Ruth Negga.
Fimmel is best known for his role as Ragnar in television series Vikings but will be back on the big screen later this summer in drama Maggie's Plan.
Warcraft: The Beginning is out now.
