Levan Tsikurishvili brings new film Avicii: True Stories to British cinemas this October for one night only, tackling the topic of Avicii’s huge success and his seemingly sudden decision to quit doing live shows last year. Showcasing the reasons behind that choice along with Avicii’s thoughts at the time, the movie will feature fly-on-the-wall footage of the DJ’s experiences and thinking. Check out a first look trailer for the movie below:
Speaking about the movie, Tsikurishvili said: “I wanted to do a brutally honest film about Tim as a person and not only about Avicii. Everybody knows Avicii but very few people know Tim. I think this documentary really shows Tim’s struggle and strength of character. Being a worldwide superstar artist is not as easy as it looks on Instagram.”
Featuring cameo appearances from leading names in the music industry such as Chris Martin, David Guetta, Nile Rodgers and Wyclef Jean, this film will serve as a cautionary tale for anybody on the cusp of fame, exploring the taxing nature and intensity that that world brings.
Avicii: True Stories comes to cinemas for one night only on October 26, with tickets available now.
