Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston says that it was an ‘easy yes’ when he was offered the role of Adam in Only Lovers Left Alive.

The movie sees Hiddleston plays a vampire in the new film as he teams up with tilde Swinton for the first time: an actress that had nothing but praise for.

The British actor was on the red carpet at the London Film festival last night to promote the film, which was part of the gala screening programme.

Speaking to FemaleFirst the actor said: “He is a rock star vampire living Detroit, in a relationship with Tilda Swinton and directed by Jim Jarmusch: it was a very easy yes.

Tilda is amazing as both a woman and an actress. She is so warm and so wise and so intelligent. It was a real pleasure to dance with her.”

Only Lovers Left alive marks the first time that Hiddleston has teamed up with director Jarmusch – he has penned the screenplay as well as being in the director’s chair.

But before we see Hiddleston star in Lovers Left Alive he will be back in Thor: The Dark World.

Hiddleston will reprise the role of Loki for the first time since we saw him wreaking havoc in Avengers Assemble.

The BFI Film Festival runs from 9th – 20th October. Only Lovers Left Alive is released 21st February 2014.
