Hiddleston has revealed he relishes his job because it allows him to explore the inner-thoughts of different types of people.

He told the Observer newspaper: "I suppose I'm fascinated by the private vulnerability and the exterior of people.

"I think that's an essential truth. I sort of quite like trying to find what makes people tick behind the construction of their identity."

Tom stars as the American country singer Hank Williams - who died of heart failure at the age of 29 - in his latest movie, 'I Saw the Light'.

The British star admitted he is "proud" of the movie, in which he was taken out of his comfort zone as a performer.

He added: "I mean, that sounds arrogant. I'm just proud to be in such a ... It was so far away from me; it was really not my life experience at all."

Meanwhile, Tom recently admitted he would be keen to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond.

He said: "I did hear recently that he is making another one. And I would never want to usurp or even attempt to usurp Daniel Craig's place in the James Bond pantheon. But, in an entirely hypothetical situation ... Of course it would be ... that would be huge ... I think I would enjoy the experience."
