Tom Hardy has described Mad Max: Fury Road as a ‘behemoth of a piece’.
The actor will take on the role of Max Rockatansky the latest Mad Max film, which sees George Miller back in the director’s chair.
Hardy will star alongside Nicholas Hoult and Charlize Theron in the film and is heading to shoot some extra scenes for the film.
Speaking to Flicks and the City the actor said: “(Mad Max)’s great. It’s a big old piece, it’s a behemoth of a piece.
“I’m off there next week to do some reshoots, well not reshoots actually, but doing more. We’re building, building more Mad Maxes, even more spectacular and cool stuff.”
We haven’t see Hardy on the big screen this year, but he has been working on a series of new film projects. He has already completed work on Locke, which was screened at the BFI London Film festival last month, Animal Rescue and Child 44.
It was also revealed last month that he had landed the role of Elton John in Rocketman, a new biopic about the singer.
Mad Max: Fury Road is set to hit the big screen in 2014.
