Tom Hanks is to work with 'Cloud Atlas' co-director Tom Tykwer on a new movie.
The pair are to reunite for a big screen adaptation of Dave Eggers' 2012 book 'A Hologram For The King', which follows the tale of a struggling businessman who decides to quit America after and make one last attempt at success in a growing Saudi Arabian city so he can pay for his daughter to go to college.
According to reports, Tykwer has already started working on adapting the novel into a script and he and Hanks are now looking for a studio to finance the project.
As well as co-directing 'Cloud Atlas' with The Wachowskis, the 48-year-old German film director also worked with them on the script, which was based on David Mitchell's best-selling science-fiction novel, which is set across six different eras and explores the idea of reincarnation.
Hanks, 56, can next be seen in 'Captain Phillips', which follows the true story of Captain Richard Phillips who was taken hostage by Somali pirates in 2009.
