Tom Cruise looks set to reunite with director Joseph Kosinski for new film Go Like Hell.

Cruise and Kosinski worked together for the first time earlier this year on Oblivion: a big screen adaptation of Kosinski's own graphic novel.

Now the pair are believed to be in talks for a new Fox Studios film Go Like Hell - which is based on the A.J. Bairne novel of the same name.

Variety.com have reported that Cruise is set to play American automotive designer Shelby.

The movie will follow Shelby as he teams up with Ford to change the image of the brand and develop a model that will compete in European car racing.

The script is not quite finalised but it is hoped that filming will begin on Go Like Hell at some point next year.

Cruise will be back on the big screen next year in Edge of Tomorrow: which is directed by Doug Liman and sees him team up with Emily Blunt.

The actor has also been linked to a fifth Mission Impossible film as well as a new Van Helsing movie.
