Tom Cruise has taken to his social media this week to post a couple of pictures from the set of his new Mission: Impossible film, which he’s revealed will be called Mission: Impossible - Fallout. You can check the reveal, as well as a picture of Cruise riding the side of a helicopter in his Instagram posts below:
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the currently unrated film will bring Cruise to the big screen once more alongside the likes of Henry Cavill, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, Alec Baldwin, Wes Bentley and Frederick Schmidt.
Cavill, Kirby and Bassett are new to the franchise, so it’s going to be very interesting to see what their respective roles bring to the table.
Working with his IMF team once more, Ethan Hunt (Cruise) will battle against the clock following a mission that goes terribly wrong. No further details have been given in regards to the plot for Fallout, but we imagine it’ll be another compelling and explosive adventure, with some of the biggest names in Hollywood at the centre.
What we can pretty much take – but not 100% confirm – from the film’s new synopsis is that Fallout will deal with the repercussions of the mission that went down in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.
All we can do now is wait for the official first trailer for Fallout and hope that it gives a little more insight into what we’ll be dealing with when the movie hits the big screen! We’ll also be keeping a close eye on Cruise’s new Instagram account, and the social media goings on of director McQuarrie, who likes to share his work with the masses online!
Mission: Impossible – Fallout comes to cinemas across the UK on July 26, 2018 from Paramount Pictures.
