Toby Kebbell has become the latest actor to be added to the cast list for Kong: Skull Island.
THR has reported that Kebbell is on board the prequel to the King Kong story that we all know so well - however, it is not yet known which role the British actor will be playing in the film.
Kebbell is set to star alongside Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and Corey Hawkins and his casting comes just a week or so after it was revealed that Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Wilkinson were also in talks to be part of the film.
Kong: Skull Island is a film that has suffered some casting issues over the last twelve months when Michael Keaton and J.K. Simmons were both forced to drop out of the project. It was believed that Jackson was in talks to take over Simmons' role.
Jordan Vogt-Roberts is in the director's chair for the film - he brought us the fantastic Kings of Summer back in 2013 and this will be the biggest film of his career to date.
Kong: Skull Island is set to be a prequel film and will see the character of King Kong on the big screen for the first time since Peter Jackson's King Kong back in 2005.
As for Kebbell, he can currently be seein Fantastic Four alongside Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B Jordan and Jamie Bell.
Fantastic Four is the first big screen outing for the actor since Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and while the superhero film has struggled with the critics, it is a film that has topped the UK box office.
2015 has been a very busy year for Kebbell as he has already finished work on the highly anticipated film Warcraft, which is based on the popular game. He will also take on the role of Messala in a remake of classic Ben-Hur.
He has finished working on Buddha's Little Finger and A Monster Calls and is currently filming Gold with Matthew McConaughey and Corey Stoll.
Kong: Skull Island is set to hit the big screen in 2017.
