Tim Miller has revealed that there are more Green Lantern jokes in Deadpool but some may not make the final film.
One Green Lantern joke did make it into the first full length trailer for Deadpool - which was released earlier this week.
Miller, who is making his feature film directorial debut with the film, reveals that there are more Green Lantern references dotted throughout the film but he is not sure how many will make the final cut.
Breaking down the first trailer with Empire, the director said: "We shot a few more Green Lantern jokes, but I'm not sure how many will survive the cut. Ryan definitely had some Green Lantern issues to work out. We had about a minute's worth of dialogue between him and Colossus where he talks about it, like, 'So a guy comes with a thousand-dollar suit and says, 'We want you to play a superhero,' but there's no script yet and the release date is completely unmakeable...'
"He goes on this whole anti-Green Lantern run, but I'm not sure it'll stay in, because probably not even half the people in the theatres will get those jokes... that scene's one for the DVD extras, for sure."
Ryan Reynolds is set to return to the role of Deadpool for the first time since X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009 - this is his first superhero movie since his disastrous outing as Green Lantern back in 2011.
Reynolds has been the driving force to bringing the Deadpool solo film to the big screen and it is already one of the most anticipated films of next year - I have to say, it is one that we cannot wait to see here at FemaleFirst.
Deadpool is released 5th February 2016.
