Thor: The Dark World will be hitting the big screen in less that seven weeks, and it is set to be one of the event movies of the autumn.
I cannot tell you how excited I am to see Alan Taylor - of Game of Thrones fame - take over this franchise as the first footage just looks fantastic.
But it is Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Hopkins that we are concentrating on today as two new character posters for the film have been revealed:
Hiddleston is set to reprise the villainous Loki in the sequel, while Hopkins is back as Odin.
However, Loki is not set to be the main villain this time around as that title goes to Malekith - played by Christopher Eccleston.
But there are plenty of other familiar faces to watch out for as Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson and Jamie Alexander are all reprising their roles from the first film.
Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.
In the aftermath of Marvel’s "Thor" and "Marvel’s The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness.
Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
2013 has already been a great year for Marvel, and Thor: The Dark World looks set to follow on that huge success.
Thor: The Dark World is released 30th October.
