Thor 3 looks set to go ahead as Craig Kyle & Christopher Yost are brought on board to pen the screenplay.
This news comes just days after it was revealed that Anthony & Joe Russo are already in early talks to direct a third Captain America movie; they have just completed work on Captain America: The Winter Solider.
Yost is no stranger to the Marvel world as he, along with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, penned the screenplay for Thor: The Dark World.
Thor: The Dark World hit the big screen last year and was a mammoth box office hit - the film was also let on a bit of a cliffhanger, suggesting that a third movie was in the pipeline.
A statement from Kevin Feige read: "I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years. His creative instincts have helped shape ‘Thor’ and ‘Thor: The Dark World’ at every level of the filmmaking process.
"The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor’s adventure."
While no official cast list has yet been announced, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are both expected to return as Thor and Loki.
Hemsworth will be returning to the role of Thor this year as filming on The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to get underway.
