Picturehouse Entertainment is thrilled to unveil the UK trailer and poster for The Souvenir Part II, a film by Joana Hogg that showcases a semi-autobiographical portrait of the artist as a young woman.

Dramas and emotional movies are always going to be beloved. The little details and connections characters have can create some beautiful moments, and it seems as though The Souvenir Part II will keep these themes, but showcase them in new ways.

In the fallout of her thunderous relationship with a charming yet manipulative older man, Julie (Honor Swinton Byrne) starts to disentangle her fraught love for him in making her graduation film, sorting fact from his cleverly put together fiction.

Hogg’s shining tale of first love and a young woman’s influential years, The Souvenir Part II showcases, in a beautiful way, the artist that rises above the faltering particulars of everyday life; the movie is set to be a clever combination of a memoir and fantasy.

With an incredible cast that also includes Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd), Charlie Heaton (The New Mutants), Joe Alwyn (Harriet) and Tilda Swinton (Doctor Strange), the critically-acclaimed sequel to 2019’s The Souvenir is a truly unmissable cinematic experience.

Evening Standard has praised this movie, stating it to be ‘One of the most beautiful and extraordinary films of the year’, whilst Little White Lies has said that the film is ‘A beguiling work from a master’, and Screen Daily has stated that ‘Many may wish this film never ends’.

Not only does The Souvenir Part II have some amazing reviews already, but it has also been nominated for some impressive awards: Best British Independent Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay (Hogg), Best Supporting Actress (Swinton), and Best Supporting Actor (Ayoade).

The movie has already won three awards, which is high praise for a yet unreleased feature. The Souvenir Part II has won three British Independent Film Craft Awards (BIFA), including Best Costume Design (for Grace Snell), Best Editing (for Helle Le Ferve), and Best Production Design (for Stéphane Collonge).

The Souvenir Part II will be coming to cinemas on February 4th, 2022.
