This year (2021) has already been filled up with new and exciting content on both streaming services and in cinemas. However, streaming platform Roku is really pushing the boat out this month (November, 2021) with the vast array of content it will be offering.
The Roku Channel has a wide range of new shows being added; and the best news, is that it is all free. Every month, Roku adds brand-new entertainment which is available on all Roku, Sky Q, and NOW TV streaming players, as well as Roku powered TV’s (Hisense Roku TV, and TCL Roku TV).
Roku’s brand-new and upcoming selection of shows and movies will definitely keep you cosy and shift your mind away from the cold winter nights. There are no subscription fees or logins required with Roku; there really are no strings attached!
Get ready to put the heating on, make a delicious hot chocolate and grab some popcorn as you will be spoiled for choice with Roku’s selection of content this holiday season.
During this month along, Roku has five new films coming to its service, including Britney Spears: Breaking Free and Kirby Jenner. As well as new content for all of us, DOG TV has been added to the Roku Channel Store; this means that content curated just for your furry friends will be available.
DOG TV offers shows made just for dogs, scientifically designed to keep them calm, relaxed and entertained throughout the day!
Five new feature films will be added to the Channel this November, including:
- Britney Spears: Breaking Free: This documentary that digs deep into the famous singer’s conservatorship that dates all the way back to the early 2000s. After watching Spears’ struggles, you may come to realise why the #FreeBritney movement exists.
- Letters to Juliet: Amanda Seyfried stars as Sophie, a writer who travels to Verona and, after exploring the town, discovers a long-lost letter that helps true love blossom.
- Wakefield: Based on a true story and starring Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston, a lawyer in New York goes into hiding away from his loved ones, and watches them live their lives – from the attic next door.
- Lay the Favourite: Beth (Rebecca Hall) leaves Florida in the hopes of becoming a cocktail waitress; but, when she meets Dink (Bruce Willis), her life changes forever. This comedy will have you laughing all evening!
- The Signal: A trio of college students explore the Navada desert with hope of discovering a rival hacker, but a sinister surprise is waiting for them as they are taken to an underground research facility.
Not only does Roku have these amazing movies on offer, but three new shows will also be available:
- Man vs Food: Adam Richman tackles some of America’s craziest eating challenges!
- Welcome to Sweden: This is an American-Swedish sitcom created by comedian Greg Poehler, and portrays the cultural differences between the two nations; this one will have you laughing for sure.
- Cape Wrath: Meadowlands tunes in to a married couple and their teenage twins who move to an American suburban town; a variety of mysteries and secrets are unveiled.
Two Roku originals, Kirby Jenner and Player vs Player will be joining the other amazing content on the channel, as well as two kid friendly titles, including Where’s Chicky and Camp Lakebottom.
