The Revenant has made it a second week as the UK's number one film, holding off the challenge from comedy movie Ride Along 2.
The Revenant, which looks set to win big at the Oscars in a few weeks time, took a further £3.8 million over the weekend to maintain its grip on the top spot.
Ride Along 2, which sees Kevin Hart reunite with Ice Cube, was the highest new entry inside the top ten this week, as the comedy movie opened at number two.
It was back in 2014 when we were introduced to the characters of Ben Barber and James Payton and the actors and director Tim Story have returned for the sequel. The movie grossed £2.1 million and couldn't quite close the gap on The Revenant.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens slipped just a single place to this week's number three, while The Big Short was the second new entry inside the top five.
The Big Short opened at number four, sees Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carell, and Brad Pitt star, and Adam McKay back in the director's chair. The movie has been met with critical acclaim and is another film that will be in the Best Picture Oscar race next month.
Creed slipped three places to round off the top five for this week. Daddy's Home slipped out of the top five for the first time as the Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell movie dropped from four to number six.
Room was the only non-mover on the chart this week as it stayed put at number seven. The Hateful Eight was a three place faller as it ended the weekend at number eight.
The 5th Wave, which is a big screen adaptation of the novel of the same name by Rick Yancey, was the third and final new entry, as opened at number nine.
The Danish Girl was this week's biggest faller, as the biopic slipped four places from six to number ten.
