The Railway Man
Colin Firth will be returning to the big screen in the new year with The Railway Man, and a brand new poster for the movie has been revealed.
The movie sees Jonathan Teplitzky returns to the director’s chair for the first time since 2003 and is based on the memoir of Eric Lomax.
Firth takes on the role of Eric Lomax, a British Army officer who is tormented as a prisoner of war at a Japanese labour camp during World War II.
Decades later, Lomax discovers that the Japanese interpreter he holds responsible for much of his treatment is still alive and sets out to confront him, and his haunting past.
A terrific cast list has been assembled for the film as Firth is joined by Jeremy Irvine, Stellan Skarsgard and fellow Oscar winner Nicole Kidman.
The Railway Man is released 10th January 2014.
