We are big fans of Ben Foster here at FemaleFirst and he is back on the big screen this autumn with new sporting biopic The Program.
The Program will see Foster take on the role of Lance Armstrong in a movie that explores one of the biggest sporting doping scandals of all time - Foster is already winning over critics and audiences with his central performance.
The Program is one of the autumn movies that cannot be missed - it is a film I have been looking forward to for some time - and the brand new trailer for the movie has been released:
The movie marks the return of Stephen Frears to the director's chair for what is his first film since the incredible Philomena - it will also be the first time the Frears has teamed up with Foster.
The director has assembled a terrific cast as Chris O'Dowd, Guillaume Canet, Jesse Plemons, Denis Ménochet, Lee Pace, Edward Hogg, and Dustin Hoffman are all also on board.
Inspired by the award winning book 'Seven Deadly Sins' by David Walsh (played by O'Dowd), The Program is a tense and suspenseful thriller looks at how one of the greatest deceptions in the modern era was uncovered, while Armstrong convinced the world he was a hero through the most sophisticated doping program the sport had ever seen.
The Program will screen as one of the BFI London Film Festival's big gala movies and is part of the Debate section of the festival. it looks set to be one of the most talked about at this year's event.
The Program is released 16th October.
