For me, Ben Foster is one of the most under-rated actors around but he is set to cement himself as a major acting talent that everyone should be watching with his upcoming film The Program.
The Program will see Foster take on the role of Lance Armstrong and follow how the once iconic cyclist cheating his way to global success. And it is Foster who takes centre stage in this great new poster for the film.
The Program will also sees Stephen Frears in the director's chair. Frears has brought us movies such as The Queen and Dirty Pretty Things during his career, but The Program is his first film since the success of Philomena.
Foster is set to star as Armstrong, while Chris O'Dowd will take on the role of David Walsh, the journalist that fought hard to prove that the sportsman was a fraud.
Foster and O'Dowd are joined by a terrific supporting cast as Lee Pace, Jesse Plemons, Guillaume Canet are all also on board.
Inspired by the award winning book 'Seven Deadly Sins' by David Walsh, and featuring a stellar cast including Ben Foster (Lone Survivor), Chris O'Dowd (Calvary), Guillaume Canet (Tell No One) and Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad), this tense and suspenseful thriller looks at how one of the greatest deceptions in the modern era was uncovered, while Armstrong convinced the world he was a hero through the most sophisticated doping program the sport had ever seen.
There are a whole host of great biopic movies on the horizon and The Program is one that cannot be missed over the next couple of months if you are a fan of this genre.
The Program is released 16th October.
