The Conjuring horror universe is one of the most successful franchises within the genre, and another addition is coming in the form of The Nun this September. From filmmaker James Wan, and produced by Peter Safran alongside the horror mogul, the movie will be directed by the brilliant Corin Hardy, and we’ve got a terrifying first look teaser for fans below. Check it out:
Following the suicide of a young nun, a priest with his own haunted past and a novitiate on the threshold of her final vows are sent to investigate the death by the Vatican, and together, they uncover some of the most shocking secrets being kept under wraps by the order.
Risking their souls in their adventure, they’ll quickly come to realise that their lives are under threat, as well as the sanctity of their faiths as they confront a demonic nun presence, that viewers first saw terrorising innocents in The Conjuring 2.
Demian Birchir stars in the movie as Father Burke, with Taissa Farmiga as Sister Irene, and Jonas Bloquet as local villager Frenchie. Charlotte Hope plays Sister Victoria; Ingrid Bisu is Sister Oana; and Bonnie Aarons reprises her role as the villainous titular character.
IT’s Gary Dauberman has written the screenplay for the piece, after collaborating on the story with Janes Wan. Meanwhile, Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter, Michael Clear and Todd Williams join Dauberman as executive producers.
The Nun comes to cinemas across the UK on September 7, 2018.
