Oscar winners Rachel Weisz and Colin Firth are set to team up for new film The Mercy and they feature in the first two images to be released for the movie.
The Mercy
The Mercy will explore the true story of yachtsman Donald Crowhurst and will see Firth take on the role. Weisz will play his wife Clare.
The movie will mark the return of James Marsh to the director's chair for what is his first feature film since The Theory of Everything. It will also mark the first time that the director has worked with both Weisz and Firth.
David Thewlis, Jonathan Bailey, Ken Stott, and Adrian Schiller will join Weisz and Firth on the cast list.
The Mercy is based on the true story of Donald Crowhurst and his attempt to win the first non-stop single-handed round-the-world yacht race in 1968.
The story of Crowhurst's dangerous solo voyage and the struggles he confronted on the epic journey while his wife Claire and children waited for his return at home is one of the most enduring mysteries of recent times.
The Mercy will be released in UK cinemas in 2017.
