The Maze Runner has topped the U.S. box office, holding off the challenge from A Walk Among The Tombstones.
The Maze Runner is the latest young adult book to get the big screen treatment, as it is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by James Dashner.
Wes Ball is in the director's chair while Dylan O'Brien, Will Poulter and Thomas Brodie-Sangster are some of the actors on board.
The movie grossed $32.5 million in its opening weekend to comfortably beat A Walk Among The Tombstones to the top spot.
A Walk Among The Tombstones marks the return of Liam Neeson to the big screen, in an adaptation of the Lawrence Block novel of the same name.
A Walk Among The Tombstones opened at two, while There Is Where I Leave You was the third and final new entry at three.
No Good Deed was down three places at four, while Dolphin Tale 2 was also down three places from two to five.
Guardians of the Galaxy slipped out of the top five this week as it dropped three places from three to six. Comedy movie Let's Be Cops was down two spots this week at seven.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was this week's biggest faller as it dropped from four to eight. The Drop and If I Stay were also down three places this week at nine and ten.
