Sandra Bullock (Bird Box) and Channing Tatum (Dog) star together in The Lost City, an upcoming action comedy that sees the duo face unknown, yet hilarious dangers.
The Lost City follows reclusive writer, Loretta (Bullock), who is on tour promoting her new book with co-worker, Alan (Tatum).
Alan is on the cover of many of Loretta’s books as the handsome hero Dash; however, when Loretta is kidnapped by billionaire Fairfax (Daniel Radcliffe), who wants the author to lead him to the lost city mentioned in her latest novel, Alan wants to prove he’s more than a pretty face.
In the newest behind-the-scenes clip released by Paramount Pictures, Bullock discusses her outfit, a sparkly purple jumpsuit, and why it was necessary to wear such an uncomfortable costume for the movie.
On the topic of her attire, Bullock stated that “it all came about because Sandy B likes herself a jumpsuit. I like a sparkly jumpsuit.”
The actress also commented that the outfit was “funny, it was inappropriate”, which is an opinion shared by producer Liza Chasin, who revealed that “we wanted something that when you stuck this in the jungle, was going to stand out.”
Despite the discomfort the jumpsuit caused for Bullock, when reflecting on the decision and if she would change the attire, the actress simply said “hell no.”
Tatum also expressed his feelings for his co-star and her outfit, claiming that he couldn’t “imagine what the sequence was doing to her skin. It must have been like wearing a cheese grater.”
Aaron Nee, co-director, explained all the different shots Bullock would have to film with the sequin jumpsuit, “We’re going to have to take it through a river, climb mountainside with it, be in the ocean.”
As well as Bullock, Tatum and Radcliffe, The Lost City also stars Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nuñez, Patti Harrison and Bowen Yan.
From trailers and clips, it’s clear that Bullock and Tatum have an excellent rapport together, and prove to be a wonderful on screen duo.
The Lost City will hit cinemas on April 13th, 2022.
