The Light Between Oceans is already being tipped as a potential Oscar contender and the brand new poster for the film has arrived.

The Light Between Oceans is based on the novel of the same name by M.L. Steadman and marks the return of Derek Cianfrance to the director's chair. Cianfrance has brought us movies such as Blue Valentine and The Place Beyond the Pines in recent years and I am looking forward to seeing what he delivers this time around.
As well as being in the director's chair, Cianfrance has also adapted Steadman's novel into a screenplay.
The Light Between Oceans sees Michael Fassbender team up with Alicia Vikander on the big screen for the first time. I don't know about you, but I cannot wait to see them work together. And it is these two fine actors who take centre stage on the beautiful new poster.
It has already been a hugely successful year for Fassbender and Vikander as he was nominated for the Best Actor Oscar and she won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in The Danish Girl.
The cast list for The Light Between Oceans is completed by Rachel Weisz, who is also an Oscar winner.
The Light Between Oceans tells the powerful story of a lighthouse keeper and his wife living off the coast of Australia who discover a baby adrift in a rowboat. When they decide to raise the child as their own, the consequences of their choice will change their lives forever.
The Light Between Oceans is a movie that is already being tipped as a potential Oscar contender and we could see both Vikander and Fassbender in the Academy Award race once again.
The Light Between Oceans is released 4th November.
