Disney Pixar have today (November 18) released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming sequel picture, The Incredibles 2. Though it doesn’t give too much away about the film’s plot, it does show baby Jack-Jack being looked after by his superhero father Mr. Incredible. You can check out the teaser in all its glory below:
Fans have been waiting almost 13 years already for the sequel to The Incredibles, which first debuted all the way back in 2004. Then, viewers saw the crime-fighting Parr family allowed to harness their powers and go to battle againsy Syndrome and his robots, saving their city of Metroville in the process.
Brad Bird wrote and directed the flick, and will return for the sequel in which Elastigirl will be saving the world all over again, whilst Mr. Incredible sits at home and looks after the family’s youngest child; featured in the teaser above.
Jack-Jack’s powers are something that seem to be increasing as he ages. Now, he can shoot lasers out of his eyes and in the wrong hands, with his uncontrollable urges to be mischievous, he could be a very dangerous baby!
Craig T. Nelson returns to the film to voice Mr. Incredible, alongside Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, Sarah Vowell as Violet and Huck Milner as Dash, replacing the character’s original voice actor Spencer Fox.
John Ratzenberger will voice the sequel’s primary villain The Underminer, who we all met during the cliffhanger in the first film. Catherine Keener and Bob Odenkirk have also been announced to voice a pair of undisclosed characters in the feature.
Whilst we don’t know too much about the film, this teaser will likely be enough to whet the appetites of fans before a full-length trailer is unearthed.
For now, The Incredibles 2 is set to hit cinemas on June 15, 2018. We’ll bring you more news on the film as and when we get it.
