The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 has stayed at the top of the U.S. box office - making it a third week as the #1 film in America.
Mockingjay - part 2 continues to thrill audiences around the world as the popular dystopian franchise is brought to a close with this fourth and final film. The movie took a further $18.6 million over the weekend and held off the challenge from horror movie Krampus.
The movie has now crossed the $500 million mark and has, so far, taken over $523 million at the global box office.
Krampus was the highest and only new entry inside the top ten this week as the festive films start to hit the big screen. However, Krampus is a Christmas film with a twist as it explores the dark myth that is Krampus.
The movie, which stars Toni Collette and Adam Scott, opened at umber two taking just over $16 million in its opening weekend.
Creed was the first none-mover on the chart this week as the boxing film stayed put at number three. The movie, which sees Sylvester Stallone reprise the role of Rocky Balboa alongside Michael B. Jordan, took $15,54 million - finding itself in a real scrap for third with The Good Dinosaur.
The Good Dinosaur dropped two places this week to number four, but narrowly missed out in rounding off the top three. The latest Pixar movie took $15,51 million this weekend as it continued to perform well.
Spectre fell one place from four to number five, while Christmas comedy The Night Before was another none-mover at number six.
The Peanuts Movie fell out of the top five this week as it dropped two places from five to number seven. Spotlight and Brooklyn are two movies tipped to be potential Oscar contenders and they stayed put at eight and nine.
The Secret In Their Eyes was this week's biggest faller as it dropped three places from seven to round of this week's top ten. The movie sees Chiwetel Ejiofor, Nicole Kidman, and Julia Roberts join forces, but UK audiences will have to wait until March 2016 until this film hits the big screen.
