Mockingjay - Part 2 is one of the most anticipated films of the year and is set to be one of the biggest movies of the autumn as the popular franchise is brought to a triumphant close.
I can't wait to see how director Francis Lawrence ends what has been a great franchise and a fantastic adaptation of a series of great books. Lawrence has directed all but one of the film series and it is great to see him back in the director's chair.
Mockingjay - Part 2 will be the final time that we see Jennifer Lawrence take on this iconic character and this is the role that truly turned her into a global star.
Lawrence is joined on the cast list by Elizabeth Banks, Natalie Dormer, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Jena Malone, Woody Harrelson, Sam Claflin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Donald Sutherland. However, there is one great new addition as Gwendoline Christie is set to take on the role of Commander Lyme.
With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends - including Gale (Hemsworth), Finnick (Claflin), and Peeta (Hutcherson) - Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her.
The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 is released 19th November.
