The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby is one of the movies that I have been looking forward to for a while as Jessica Chastain teams up with James McAvoy.
Chastain & McAvoy are two incredibly exciting actors, and this marks the first time that they have shared the screen.
The movie was originally shot as two films - one from her point of view and one from his point of view - but Ned Benson has now cut that both together. Check out the first trailer:
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby marks the feature film directorial debut for Benson, who has also penned the screenplay for the film.
A terrific cast has been assembled for the movie, as Chastain and McAvoy are joined by Viola Davis, Bill Hader, Isabelle Huppert, and William Hurt.
Once happily married, Conor (McAvoy) and Eleanor (Chastain) suddenly find themselves as strangers longing to understand each other in the wake of tragedy.
The film explores the couple’s story as they try to reclaim the life and love they once knew and pick up the pieces of a past that may be too far gone.
I am really looking forward to seeing how Benson has cut two films together to make one, as well as the central performances from Chastain and McAvoy.
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby is released 26the September in U.S. No UK release date has yet been announced.
