There's only a handful of weeks to go until The Danish Girl hits the big screen and it is also one of the 'must-see' films of 2016.

The Danish Girl will mark the return of Eddie Redmayne as he teams up with Alicia Vikander for the very first time... and this is a film that will send their stars rocketing even further.
Redmayne is set to take on the role of Lili Elbe in the film, one of the first known recipients of gender reassignment surgery. Vikander is set to take on the role of Elbe's wife Gerda Wegener. And they feature in some new images from the highly anticipated film:
The Danish Girl will only be the second film outing for Redmayne since his Oscar winning performance in The Theory of Everything and he could find himself in the Oscar race once again.
The movie will also see Redmayne reunite with filmmaker Tom Hopper as he returns to the director's chair for the first time since Les Misérables back in 2013. It is great to see Hooper back and I can't wait to see what he delivers this time around.
Hooper has brought together a terrific cast list as Redmayne and Vikander are joined by Matthias Schoenaerts, Ben Whishaw, Amber Heard, and Sebastian Koch.
The Danish Girl is released 1st January 2016.
