The BFG is set to be a huge hit at the UK box office this weekend as Steven Spielberg brings Roald Dahl's magical novel to the big screen.
While we have seen a whole host of Dahl films get the movie treatment over the years, this is the first live-action adaptation of The BFG.
It is always exciting when a Spielberg movie is on the horizon and I am looking forward to seeing the Oscar-winning filmmaker put his own stamp on a story that we all know so well.
There are just a couple of days to go until the film is released and we have some great new images for you to take a look at:
The BFG will introduce us to the acting talents of Ruby Barnhill as she takes on the central role of Sophie. Mark Rylance will play the BFG as he reunites with Spielberg for a second film project together.
Barnhill and Rylance are joined on the cast list by Penelope Wilton, Jemaine Clement, Rebecca Hall, Rafe Spall, Bill Hader, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.
The BFG tells the extraordinary tale of a young girl named Sophie (Barnhill) and the Big Friendly Giant (Rylance) who introduces her to the wonders and perils of Giant Country. Together they embark on a marvellous and buckswashling adventure filled with snozzcumbers, dream jars, frobscottle and even the Queen!
The mismatched pair form an unlikely friendship that will inspire enormous bravery in the BFG and give Sophie a taste of the family she dreams of.
If you are looking for excitement and adventure on the big screen this weekend, The BFG is a movie that you cannot afford to miss.
The BFG is released 22nd July.
