Ryan Reynolds joins forces with director Shawn Levy once again for a Netflix movie that combines time travel with one of the world’s most beloved actors.
The Adam Project will premiere later this month (March 2022), and audiences can't wait to see what the film has to offer.
Reynolds, an actor known for his incredible comedic acting, especially in the Deadpool films, has reunited with director of 2021’s Free Guy, Shawn Levy; Free Guy was a massive success, so the actor and director pair will no doubt deliver another brilliant watch.
The Adam Project follows Adam Reed (Reynolds), a time-travelling fighter pilot, who crash lands in the year 2022; Adam must work with his 12-year-old self (Walker Scobell) to save the future.
Along the way, the adult version of Adam must learn to come to terms with the past he happily left behind; Adam also reunites with his late father.
The official trailer for The Adam Project was released yesterday (March 1st, 2022), and showcases what will no doubt be a brilliant movie.
We have all come to expect any film with Reynolds involved to be comedic in some way; but the actor also does heartbreak and sadness just as well, and it seems there will be both in his upcoming feature.
The trailer highlights some brilliant action scenes, a great cast, and a more than interesting narrative; it is clear that this film has heart, and we cannot wait for it to arrive.
The movie has already been met with brilliant reviews, with Germain Lussier claiming the film to be “A blend of action, sci-fi, and heart”.
The Adam Project has even been called “An instant classic like E.T. and Back to the Future”, which is a very bold claim.
The Adam Project also stars Marvel actress Zoe Saldaña as Adam’s partner Laura, with Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner starring as Adam’s parents (Louis and Ellie Reed, respectfully).
The Adam Project will debut exclusively on Netflix on March 11th, 2022.
