Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man
Avi Arad has described Gwen Stacey as Peter Parker's 'true love' in the new Spider Man movie.
The Amazing Spider Man sees Marc Webb reboot the hit Marvel franchise with Andrew Garfield taking over the title role.
The movie sees Garfield team up with actress Emma Stone, who takes on the role of Gwen.
And speaking at a press conference in Tokyo Avi Arad gave some hints as to the relationship between Peter & Gwen.
"In our movie, [Peter] finds his true love. Gwen Stacy was always the true love of Peter Parker.
"We found a very, very good story about what makes a human being. About what sets their destiny."
The movie brings together an all star cast that also includes Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Rhys Ifans.
The Amazing Spider Man is released 4th July.
