The Wolverine trailer will not be revealed until early 2013 according to director James Mangold.
There had been reports swirling around that the first trailer for The Wolverine would play in front of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey when it hits the big screen next month but this will not be the case.
Mangold took to his Twitter account to put an end to all of the rumours: "Contrary to reports, there will be no trailer on THE HOBBIT for THE WOLVERINE.
"You will get a glimpse early 2013. I promise."
The movie will see Hugh Jackman reprise the role of Logan in what will be a second standalone movie for the X-Men character.
This time around the movie will be set in Japan while Will Yun Lee and Svetlana Khodchenkova are also on the cast list.
The Wolverine if the first film for Mangold since Knight and Day and it will reunite him with Jackman after they worked together on Kate & Leopold.
The Wolverine is released 25th July.
