Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has toppled Guardians of the Galaxy from the top of the U.S. box office.
The reboot of the popular franchise took $65 million in its opening weekend, to end the reign of the latest Marvel film.
Jonathan Liebesman is in the director's chair for the film, which has will be getting a sequel it has been announced.
Guardians of the Galaxy fell a single place to one this week, and has so far grossed in excess of $313 million worldwide.
Into The Storm and The Hundred Foot Journey were new entries at three and four, while Lucy was down three at five,
Step Up All In was the fourth and final new entry inside the top ten this week, as it opened at number six.
Hercules was down three places this week as it fell from four to eight, but it was Get On Up that was the biggest faller. The movie was down five places as it dropped from three to eight.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was down four at nine, while Planes: Fire and Rescue was down four at ten.
