Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has remained at the top of the U.S. box office, holding off the challenge from The Expendables and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles took a further $28.4 million to make it a second week at number one.

Former #1 Guardians of the Galaxy was the biggest rival for the Turtles this week as it continues to perform well.

The movie took $24.7 million, while James Gunn revealed last week that he has already had thoughts about the sequel.

Comedy Let's Be Cops was the highest new entry on the chat this week at three, while The Expendables 3 was new at four.

The Expendables 3 saw Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, and Antonio Banderas are some of the new faces on the cast list, but the movie only managed $16.2 million.

The Giver was the third and final new entry at five, while Into The Storm was down three places this week at six.

The Hundred-Foot Journey, Lucy and Step Up All In were all also down three at seven, eight and nine.

Boyhood was the only movie on the up this week as it jumped up three places from thirteen to round off the top ten.
