Taron Egerton says there is going to be a more 'international' feel to the Kingsman sequel.

Egerton is set to reprise the role of troubled youth-turned-secret service agent Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin in the already hugely anticipated sequel.

Work on the movie is well underway and, while Egerton didn't give too much away, he revealed that they are going to be shooting outside the UK.

Speaking to Collider at the Sundance Film Festival, the actor said: "With 'Kingsman', we're shooting in the summer at present. There's a script, it's brilliant.

"Obviously there's only so much I can say but what I can say is that we shot the first one all in the UK, that won't be the case with the next one. It's a far more international story, we're going to some incredible places."

Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of the surprise hits of 2015 and was one of my favourite movies. The film saw Matthew Vaughn back in the director's chair for his first feature film since the success of X-Men: First Class.

Vaughn has been linked to the director's chair for the sequel, but it has not been confirmed that he is on board.

Kingsman: The Secret Service was the film that really sent the star of Egerton rocketing and he is the only official member of the sequel's cast list.

Filming due to kick off later this year.

Egerton will be back on the big screen later this year with Eddie the Eagle, which will see him take on the central role of Olympian Eddie Edwards. The movie sees him team up with actor Hugh Jackman and Dexter Fletcher is in the director's chair.

Egerton has also completed work on Billionaire Boys Club and will be lending his voice to new animation film Sing.
