Taika Waititi says that he is enjoying working with the Marvel studio with Thor: Ragnarok.
Waititi is set to direct a Marvel film for the first time as he takes on the director's chair for Thor: Ragnarok, the third film in the Thor franchise.
This is the biggest film of Waititi's career - he has brought us indie films such as Eagle vs Shark and What We Do in the Shadows during the last few years.
And while Waititi is a newcomer to the world of Marvel, the filmmaker says that it is an exciting time and believes it is an 'advantage' to be surrounded by 'intelligent' people.
Speaking to The Verge, the director said: "It hasn't been that different. So far it's been good! I've been more organized, which is saying something, for a guy like me to be organized. I'm surrounded by really intelligent, amazing people. I've got access to great minds and great resources. So I'm at a real advantage.
"In terms of the studio thing, these people don't act like a studio. They're cool, smart storytellers. I've been enjoying hanging out with them. And I've made commercials, so I've worked with the worst people in the world. Nothing could be more restrictive than working with people in advertising."
Thor: Ragnarok is the first solo Thor film since Thor: The Dark World back in 2013 and the first time that we will see this character since Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The movie will see Chris Hemsworth reprise the central role and will reunite with Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, and Anthony Hopkins.
There are some big new additions to the cast list as Mark Ruffalo, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, and Karl Urban are all on board.
Thor: Ragnarok will be the third of three Marvel films to be released next year, following Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Thor: Ragnarok is released 27th October 2017.
