Steve Carell admits that he was a little nervous when filming one of the magic tricks for new movie The INcredible Burt Wonderstone.
Carell takes on the role of a magician in the new comedy and he had to shoot a hangman illusion for the film.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "The scariest thing about it was the sound of the gallows and the rope coming down. I was covered with a mask and a bag over my head and couldn't see.
"I felt someone positioning me and making sure I wasn't off-centre or I could crack my head on the side. It was very precise.
"But afterwards we were so happy with how good it looked. It was worth all the apprehension."
A terrific cast has been assembled alongside Carell as Steve Buschemi, Jim Carrey, Alan Arkin and Olivia Wilde.
Carell is currently filming Anchorman: The Legend Continues where he will reprise the role of Brick Tamland.
He will also be back on the big screen this summer as he once again lends his voice to the character of Gru in Despicable Me 2.
The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is released 15th March.
