Star Trek into Darkness is about family according to Damon Lindelof.
Lindelof teamed up with Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to pen the screenplay for the highly anticipated sequel.
And he has dropped tiny hints as to what we can expect from the movie suggesting that this time around it is about the growing relationships between the central characters.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times Lindelof said: "If the first movie was about meeting and introductions, this movie is about becoming a family.
"The title of the movie is not just about the mission that the Enterprise is going on but what happens when you get to know each other a little better and the hurdles you must jump over in order to truly become family."
J.J. Abrams is back in the director's chair while Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto will reprise the role of Captain Kirk and Spock.
Star Trek Into Darkness comes four years after the franchise was rebooted for the big screen.
Star Trek into Darkness is released 10th May.
