Stan Lee has teased that he will be making a 'different' cameo appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse when it hits the big screen next year.
Over the years, we have seen Stan Lee make an appearance in most of the Marvel films that have hit the big screen and he will be back in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Speaking at Comic Con over the weekend, Lee teases that this cameo role is like nothing we have ever seen him do before - very intriguing!!!!!
He said: "When you go see the next X-Men movie when it comes out and see my fantastic cameo, you will say, 'I remember he told me about it here. It's a different cameo in that it has one additional thing in it. And if that doesn't make you go see X-Men, I'm wasting my time."
Of course, Lee's comments have sent fans into speculation overdrive at what he could possibly mean. Up until now, Lee has only ever been a casual bystander - could he end up with a mutant power? Will his role somehow play a role in the story?
Both would be an interesting change but we are going to have to wait until X-Men: Apocalypse hits the big screen next year.
X-Men: Apocalypse will come two years after the huge critical and commercial success of X-Men: Days of Future Past and will see Bryan Singer back in the director's chair for his fourth X-Men movie.
James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters and Rose Byrne are some of the familiar faces returning as they reprise the roles of Charles Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, Beasts, Quicksilver and Moira MacTaggert.
An exciting cast has been assembled for the film, with Oscar Isaac, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Tye Sheridan are just some of the new names on board.
X-Men: Apocalypse is released 19th May 2016.
